Joshua Weresch Biography
"Music must be rooted in love," states Joshua Weresch; with this belief firmly in mind, he sings. "It should create concern, especially for others, and a sense of empathy," he continues, "and the best art—the art that has shown us what it is to be human—is an art that is moral. I hope the characters in my songs are as broken and as hopeful as the listeners, that these songs can offer a way to see one another."

Joshua Weresch is a songwriter, born, raised, and living in Hamilton, Ontario. Classically trained, he sings and plays piano.

In 2008, Joshua recorded 'From Shipwreck', a record addressing concord and discord in personal relationships, and released it in 2009. His next record 'The City Fell By Silence' (2010) will widen the perspective on relationships, connecting the history of the city with its present sorrow, joy, and responsibilities of citizenship.

Recently, Joshua has contributed a song to a poetry and song cycle collection remembering the Katyn Forest Massacre. Currently, he is touring to support 'From Shipwreck'.
